South Towne Center is proud to be a community partner. We strive to meet community challenges through a combination of employee volunteerism, financial support, in-kind donations and partnerships with non-profit organizations which have missions consistent with our vision and values.
Community Partnerships
Food DriveSouth Towne Center holds an annual food drive during September. Shoppers can donate their non-perishable food items at designated locations in the mall. All donations go to the Utah Food Bank.
Annual Huntsman Cancer Foundation Radio-a-ThonThe Annual Huntsman Cancer Institute Radio-a-Thon takes place live from Fountain Court in South Towne Mall during the last weekend in January or the first week in February each year. The Radio-a-thon is presented by KBull FM93 and South Towne Center. Join the fun with prizes, live radio personalities and on-air interviews and help us give cancer patients a Reason to Hope.
Annual Huntsman Cancer Foundation Tree of Hope Benefits Utah Children Diagnosed with CancerIf you could only give 'til it no longer hurt... During the holidays at South Towne Center, guests can donate to the "Tree of Hope" benefiting Utah Children Diagnosed with Cancer. Located on the upper level next to Guest Services the "Tree of Hope" is adorned with tiny Bag of Hope ornaments with a child's name, age and item on it. Each item on the ornament represents the items necessary to fill a Bag of Hope: blanket, large teddy, car or doll, art supplies and games/puzzles. South Towne Center guests have the opportunity to donate money at Guest Services that will help purchase these items for a Bag of Hope(R). Each Bag of Hope(R) will be given to every child in Utah who is diagnosed with cancer.
Contribution Requests Each year, South Towne Center will contribute a preset amount of funds in the form of Gift Cards, merchandise and use of property to a diverse group of organizations. Hundreds of requests are anticipated each year. Donation recipients may include civil organizations' education programs; food banks; foundations; hospitals and health care organizations; youth programs; performing arts and museums and many more. Each request is reviewed carefully, however, not all requests can be granted.
